‘Overwhelmed’: Will and Kate’s generous secret act revealed

Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales’ generous act done in secret has been revealed by a very thankful community organisation.
Upon hearing that a Southwark Foodbank in South London was robbed earlier this week, the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to contribute to recovery efforts in secret.
Their good deed was belatedly revealed however, when the Pecan Community charity, who runs the foodbank, sent them a personalised thank you on X, formerly Twitter.

“A huge thank you to @Kensingtonroyal who have donated to the recovery effort following the theft of £3k (approx. $5873) of food supplies from @southwarkfoodbk,” the organisation shared.
“All at @Pecan121a have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from across society. Food stocks are being replenished now.”
Pecan’s chief executive Peter Edwards told the BBC that along with the food, a laptop had also been stolen.

“It’s had a devastating impact and it hits the most vulnerable people in our community,” he said.
“We’re all emotionally invested in the services we provide; we’re only here to help other people so it’s a hammer blow when something like this happens.”
The news of the robbery spread throughout the week, leading local and wider communities to donate to the cause and eventually reaching the royal’s ears.
